Natural Soap Vs Commercial Soap: Why a Handmade Soap is Better Than a Synthetic One?

Give serious thought to what you put on your skin every day. Did you know that the commercially available soaps, cosmetics, and other products we use on a daily basis cause a great impact on our bodies? With daily use, they can fill our bodies with toxic chemicals as they do the environment. Read on to know which wins in the natural soap vs commercial soap battle.

Natural Soap Vs Commercial Soap: The Striking Differences

The main reason why these commercial soaps are very cheap is that most of them use chemical-based dyes, fragrances, and lathering agents, among other synthetic ingredients that do not cost them much. As a result, chemical soap makers can mass-produce their products easily.

Aside from adding these chemicals to their soaps, another reason why they can sell them at a cheap price is that they extract the very essence of a true soap – glycerin. Glycerin is a humectant that draws moisture from the air, then traps it into your skin, leaving and keeping your skin soft, supple, moisturized, and overall healthy. It is a naturally occurring byproduct of the saponification process, the process that soaps go through when they are made. Commercial soap manufacturers extract glycerin from the soaps and sell it separately.
